Brian Innes grew up in Kemnay. He was a grocer’s loon, a baker’s vanman, a postie, a pinter, before attending The University of Aberdeen and Teacher Training College. He taught at Inverurie Academy and in Chesapeake, Virginia, for over 23 years. He is now semi retired, “selling hooses an grun noo and again, and files writing and traveling”, and in this book is proud to reflect on warm and frequently recalled memories.
